Mission Statement:
Hope and change. These are the values our president, Barack Obama, stands for. The youth of America has put their hopes and dreams in Obama's backpack and sat back, watching DemocracyNow!, waiting for a return on their investment. He treads carefully, almost like he is playing a game of Operation completely sober. He sees a new world and is working to put up the street signs to lead our country there. I am no innovator, nor am I a world leader. I'm not even involved in student government. But I can read. And, I can drive. And I will drive. I will drive from Providence to Seattle. And I will do it alone.
I will see friends along the way, of course, but only very minor distractions are acceptable for a woman of my stature. My mission is my true aim, and I won't allow anything to obscure it.
My mission: to take a picture of me and one Home Depot in every state I traverse. And to communicate with them as much as possible. Getting paid would not be unwelcome.
This site is maintained by my good friend, Webmasta. My mission is our mission. However, our ulterior motive in making this site is to cement our friendship. You, the reader, are sort of being used as a cheap tool to entertain us. I welcome you to view us the same way.
So, I will drive. I will take mobile phone pictures. I will send text updates to Webmasta.
Yes we can.
Tool on,
Allison Carney
